Words on the box
Engraved on the box: the top and each long side have their own line. Leave one empty for a plain face. A long line is made smaller to fit.

28 tiles in 6 layers · box 62.6 × 141 × 29.6 mm
Material
Measure your sheet with calipers: the slots are cut to this thickness. Kerf is the width of the cut; a larger value makes the joints tighter, 0 turns it off.
Sliding fit
The gap between drawer and sleeve. Raise it if the drawer sticks, lower it if it rattles.
Finger joints
Edges are split into tabs close to this width. Smaller tabs give more of them.

How the boxes go together

Build the sleeve
Press the two sides and the back onto the bottom, then press the top on. The front stays open.

Build the drawer
Press the front, the back and the two sides around the drawer's bottom. The front is the one with the finger hole.

Slide it in
Push the drawer into the sleeve. If it sticks, raise the play a little and cut again.

Yes. The box is sized from the tiles: their long side lies across the tray, a few side by side in each layer, with room at the end to get a finger under the last one. Change the tile size, the thickness or the number per layer and the box follows.
Double six, the usual 28 tiles, or double nine with 55. A double-nine set is taller: raise the number of tiles per layer to keep the box low.
Yes. The tile thickness and the box thickness are set separately, so thick tiles can go in a box of thin plywood. Measure both sheets with calipers.
Up to 28 characters in any font from the library: a family name, a date, the name of a game night. It is engraved on the top and, if you like, on the two long sides.
