- Real size
- The SVG is in millimetres. Open it in LightBurn or xTool Creative Space and it arrives at the size you set here.
- Three colours, three jobs
- Black shapes engrave, blue lines score, red lines cut. Most laser software maps those colours to separate operations.
- Two sheets
- The backboard is one sheet. The frame and all the tiles are cut together from the other, already in position.
Questions about the crossword sign generator
Designing and previewing is free and needs no account. Downloading the SVG, 3MF and STL files and opening the design in the editor is included in every VectorWitch plan, with no limit on downloads.
Up to 20 names of up to 16 letters each. Names cross where they share a letter; a name with no letter to cross on is left out and listed, so you can change it.
Enter the width and height you want. The generator picks the layout that gives the largest letter tiles for that size and warns you when the tiles get too small to handle.
The backboard, the frame with your top and bottom text welded to it, and every letter tile, all in real millimetres. Small letter points on the tiles are optional. A 3D print file is available too.
